With a heart and passion for children, Jim Andrews (who has no children) wanted to meet a need in the playroom of the Pat and Ellen Theodora Pediatric and Young Adult Pavilion. Many of the cubbyholes and shelves in the playroom were empty, so Jim donated $1,000 to purchase more toys and books to fill them up. He also noticed the walls were a little bare, so new colorful wall art is being added from these funds. “This generous donation from Mr. Andrews filled our Pediatric Playroom with new décor, toys and art supplies. He has surely brightened the lives of the hospitalized patients here at Torrance Memorial!” said Gina Sievert, child life specialist.
